I have gone through the justice system in South Africa in the past few months and have been stunned by the inherent bias, indecision, indifference and utter gender discrmination of the Family Advocate Office, the Childreen’s Court, the SAPs, Social Development and the Magistrate Court to the abuse of my children Siseko (9 years) and Sihle (4 years). Justice for children and their fathers in South Africa is non-existent, at least as far as my situation is concerned, an incessant and continued situation of abuse, use and manaipulation of children by their mother in: squandering maintenance monies to a point of children close to being dismissed from school with R14000.00 of schoof fees paid by me for my chuildren squandered by their mother (reported to Family Advocate (two women) and nothing done); abandonment of my children (reported to SAPs and Family Advocate; sending children to school without bathing, eating and combing because their mother is always absent; abuse of the older child because he has openly objected to staying with his mother after she has abandoned them; thretening children and abusing them by saying she is going to leave and stay with them in another city and that she not contact/ not come and visit wioth me during visitation weekends. All these have fallen into deaf ears of a system that is inherently against children and their father is in South. The school has declared my elder child aas requiring serious psychological/psychiatric attention because of the abuse by his mother and none of these have been listened to by anyone in the justice bacause I have to the conclusion because of my gender. I don’t know whether your organisatio can assist me and I am seriously cocerned about my children’s welfare and their best interest and lost all manner of confidence in the justice system in South Africa.
